“The South Bay Boardriders Club (SBBC) is dedicated to celebrating the rich history of the South Bay surfing culture, introducing families, youth, and our community to all aspects of ocean activities and to being guardians of our local shoreline.”

The South Bay Boardriders Club  was founded in 2009 and has grown consistently in membership and the number of events it hosts each year.

Competitors must submit a photograph or video of the ride by March 31st to be considered by our panel of judges.   The winning photo or video of the specific category, awards both the surfer and photographer/videographer with prizes.  The winter of 2023 made the list of having some of the largest surf in memory and we anticipate many incredible entries submitted from Palos Verdes to Hammerland.
