The 33rd Annual El Camino College Student Fashion Show Presents “Runaway Runway”. This year’s show will feature student designs on the catwalk, modeled by other El Camino College students, in addition to students’ friends and family, at 7:30 p.m., Marsee Auditorium, 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance. WOMENS CONFERENCE

The South Bay Women’s Conference, an all-day event sponsored by the South Bay Business Women’s Association and Adia. The event will feature three engaging and entertaining, high profile women speakers.  Attendees will also have their choice of two breakout sessions, Lunch, listen to a panel on women and education, shop at pop-up boutiques and network with like-minded women. GOLF TOURNAMENT

El Camino College Golf Classic Returns to the Green at the 28th Annual Warrior Athletics Golf Tournament, located at Los Verdes Golf Course, 7000 Los Verdes Dr, Rancho Palos Verdes. The tournament begins with check-in and lunch at noon, followed by a four-person scramble shotgun start at 1 p.m. Tournament contests will include: hole-in-one, closest to the pin, circle of opportunity, men/women long drive, and a putting contest, as well as prizes and drawings at the end of the day. FEELGOOD FESTIVAL

The City of Manhattan Beach’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts the Feelgood Festival, a day of yoga, food, live music, and arts and craftsl at Polliwog Park. Several local yoga instructors will conduct classes for all levels from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at which point Soul on Tap and Brown Bag will play a concert, followed by music and dance of ancient Mexico by Mexika and Danza Yankuititi. Attendees will receive a special gift of gratitude from Manduka and Onzie. Remeber to bring your mat. Festival is located at 1601 Manhattan Beach Boulevard.

CONCERT

A Concert Benefiting the Marine Mammal Care Center with Andy & Renee and Marty Rifkin. Enjoy an evening of music, libations and appetizers at the home of Jen and Jeff Wallin, 208 Terraza Place, Manhattan Beach. Redondo Beach Firefighters are cooking and serving their 8th Annual Community Spaghetti Dinner Silent Auction and Bake Sale. White Point Nature Preserve. The South Coast Cactus & Succulent Society hosts Ernesto Sandoval, Director of the UC Davis Botanical Conservancy, who will present “Methods of Propagation.” By explaining the workings of plants, he will teach us techniques of seed as well as vegetative propagation which we can use in our own gardens. FREE CONCERT

As a special Mother’s Day event, St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church  presents country/folk singer/songwriter Annabella Wood in a free concert open to the public at 4 p.m.  As a career truck driver, ordained interfaith minister, and award-winning handywoman/contractor, her music reflects everything she has accomplished.  This concert will be a musical narrative weaving together stories of her fascinating life. She will be playing original, inspirational music about trucking, God, life, love and heartbreak, along with a couple of songs for mom Bertie Wood.
