RUN/WALK FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Palos Verdes Art Center presents the 5k for Alzheimer’s Fun Run and Walk. The 3.1 mile course will start and finish at the Art Center and will coincide with an exhibit at the center titled, “Floating Man: The sketchbook Drawings of David Rinehart. 5504 Crestridge Rd, Rancho Palos Verdes. To register for the run visit PVArtCenter.org or call the Art Center at 310- 541-2479. If you would like to support the Alzheimer’s Association – CA Southland Chapter and the PV Art Center but do not wish to participate in the 5k, can either sponsor a runner or make a direct donation on the website or at the center. In preparation for the race, runners and walkers are invited to join the PVAC Runners. The runners meet rain or shine on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:30 pm. at the entrance to the PVAC Galleries. The training is free.

9th Annual Sunshine Kids Golf Fundraiser. The Sunshine Kids Foundation creates fun activities for young cancer patients as they go through treatment for this unfortunate affliction. HIKING
Sierra Club conditioning hike. Make new friends and get in shape on a moderate, 1 ½ hour, 4 plus mile hike on the greenbelt and hilly streets of Hermosa and Manhattan Beach. Sponsored by local chapter of the Sierra Club, all welcome. Arrive early for 7 p.m. departure every Tuesday at the parking lot near the Hermosa Valley School, 1645 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach.
