The Palos Verdes Art Center hosted an opening reception of Peninsula plein air artist Tom Redfield, of the Portuguese Bend Art Colony, and his great grandfather, the acclaimed American Impressionist, Edward Willis Redfield (1869-1965). The curation was orchestrated by Daniela Saxa-Kaneko, the center’s executive director. The exhibit and sale, which runs through November 11, explores the legacy of landscape painting across two generations. On opening night, over 300 guests filled the two downstairs exhibit rooms and the upstairs wine and food stations making for a successful and festive art evening.
