The Circle of the Palos Verdes Art Center hosted a magical evening at David’s and Ann Buxton’s private residence on May 21. All of the proceeds from a silent auction of small art pieces, went to benefit the PVAC while proceeds from the larger art pieces were split between the artist and the PVAC. The Buxton home had on display plein-air paintings in every room by esteemed local artists Dan Pinkham, Stephen Mirich, Richard Humphrey and Vicki Pinkham. The Tuscan estate tour had numerous highlights including Ann’s American Indian collection of Pima baskets, Navajo blankets and dolls along with other collected treasures from their travels. The PVAC has been an institution on the hill since 1931.
