Katrina Vanderllip hosted a Pysanky Ukrainian egg painting afternoon with the new owner of the Vanderlip Estate, Nina Ritter. This private event gathered a local community of artists to design ornately decorated traditional Easter eggs, traditional to Ukraine. The Pysanky celebrates the rebirth of nature in the Spring and is an ancient artform utilizing a written-wax batik method in traditional folk motifs and designs.
