Spotlight on charity – National Charity League Peninsula Chapter

The Peninsula Chapter of National Charity League Medallion  gala celebrated 21 graduating seniors in the Class of 2019 for dedicating six years and over 12,000 hours to community service. They worked with special needs children and underprivileged students, providing provided clothes, meals, child care, mental health support and hospital support. They assisted occupational therapists, special needs teachers, and teachers at summer school programs, played bingo with the elderly, served as team leaders restoring our natural habitat through Palos Verdes Land Conservancy and Heal the Bay, ushered at the Norris theater, volunteered at PV Art Center, served as docents and placed homeless animals into their forever homes. The NCL’s mission is to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization.
