On May 24th at The Original Red Onion, the Montemalaga Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) honored its finest dedicated school volunteers and staff. Honored with specific awards of recognition that included the Science Lab’s Outstanding Team Award earned by Carol Sciortino, Ryan Crabtree, Lena Chiang, Judy Chen and Talinda Bennington and the Outstanding Teacher Award hard earned by second grade teacher, Helen Kim. Also honored were the outgoing PTA officers and the installation of the new 2023-2024 incoming PTA officers. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch while listening to touching speeches given about each of the award recipients. Tears and laughter were shared marking the end of another school year with summer ahead with which to look forward.
