A Moroccan themed party at the newly remodeled Palos Verdes Golf Club raise a record $80,000 on November 16 for Montemalaga Elementary School. Auctioneer and longtime Peninsula resident Dennis Rizza elicited bids for items that included a private tasting for eight at Harlan Estate and an overnight stay at Solage Auberge in Napa Valley. Professional big wave-surfer Alex Gray, who attended Montemalaga, donated a private surf lesson for three, plus video of the surf session followed by lunch at the Riviera Mexican Grill. Wells Fargo Private Bank was the evening’s premier sponsor.
