Spotlight on Education: The City of Rancho Palos Verdes celebrates a New Year 2024 ahead

RPV Mayor Barbara Ferraro and PVPUSD Superintendent of Education Devin Serrano, Ph.D.

The City held a civic holiday party at the historic Point Vicente Interpretive Center on December 4th to reign in the New Year. Musical artist Mark Fitchett serenaded guests on the guitar while Entertaining Friends provided a luxe spread of different food stations representing a variety of different cultures including a taco and pasta bar. The panoramic Pacific Ocean view was stunning at sunset and guests in attendance included residents, current and past Peninsula city officials, those running for LA County Supervisor and significant others. The City crossed many milestones during the year and RPV’s City Manager, Ara Mihranian, a veteran urban planner, led the way supporting open space through obtaining federal grants, implementing measures to control landslides and setting moratoriums on new construction in parts of the city experiencing land movement.
