Spotlight on Health – PVPHS Students Raise $40,000 At “Walk for Life”

Cancer Support Community South Bay (CSC South Bay) was one of two beneficiaries of the 20th annual “Walk for Life” to support cancer patients. The walk was held Friday, March 18, at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (PVPHS). Nearly 1,000 students, faculty, staff, and members of the community took part in the walk. The event raised $40,000, which was was divided between CSC South Bay and Duarte based City of Hope. The walk began at PVPHS campus and finished at Highridge Park. PVPHS Principal Brent Kuykendall congratulated participants for their fundraising efforts in the pre-walk ceremony, led by Activities Director, Season Pollock.
