Spotlight on Medicine – The Lundquist Institute Honors Legend David S. Cannom, M.D.

Each year, The Lundquist Institute honors outstanding researchers for their groundbreaking discoveries and commitment to finding solutions to the world’s most urgent medical problems. On April 8th at the Torrance Marriott, hundreds of physicians and supporters of The Lundquist Institute gathered to honor David S. Cannom, a retiring Los Angeles cardiologist who has co-authored 50 peer reviewed articles, and has been practicing cardiology for over 56 years. His top areas of specialty are treating atrial fibrillation, familial dysautonomia, orthostatic hypotension, cardiac ablation and pacemaker implantation. His sub-specialty is cardiac electrophysiology. He is affiliated with both Keck Medical Center of USC and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Cannom received his degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1967.
