Spotlight on music – Peninsula Symphony hosts salon performance by new director

Supporters of the Peninsula Symphony were invited to a salon recital on Sunday, November 6, at the Rolling Hills home of Bill and Deena Ruths.The recital was performed by newly appointed music conductor, and director David Cubek on piano, and his wife, Emily, on clarinet. The couple performed music by Mozart, and Cuban composer Isolina Carrillo, whose  bolero Dos Gardenia, is a standard in Latin music.The evening was catered by Jeff Earl of the Red Onion.The next Peninsula Symphony concert will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Redondo Union High School.
