Spotlight on Music – Youth Symphony, All-American Boys Chorus, perform at AASA Anniversary

The Asia America Symphony Association (AASA) held its 60th Anniversary Bravo Awards Gala on April 16 at the Norris Pavilion in Rolling Hills Estates. The evening was hosted by KABC anchor David Ono, who served double duty as emcee and live auctioneer. AASA’s Bravo Awards recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to organization, or to the arts in general. This year, AASA honored three individuals. Robert Pacifici, Ph.D., is chief scientific officer of CHDI Foundation, a private, not-for-profit research organization seeking to develop a cure for Huntington’s disease and a past AASA president. Wesley Martin is the artistic director of the All-American Boys Chorus, an internationally renowned vocal group. The final honoree was Craig Sunada, an attorney, and past AASA vice president. David Benoit, along with members of the AASA’s Pacific Vision Youth Symphony (PVYS) and the All-American Boys Chorus, captivated the guests with a memorable evening of musical performances. Proceeds will benefit the PVYS, which provides music education and performance opportunities for young musicians.
