On April 6th, the PVLD along with the Friends of the Library celebrated the grand opening of the new Teen Annex at the Peninsula Library, with a festive and well-attended ribbon cutting ceremony, orchestrated by the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. After more than a decade searching for a permanent spot, and made possible by a large group of generous private donors such as the Agarwal Family Foundation, Jean Shriver, the Continental Development Corporation and the Scriba Family, this place for teens came to fruition as a place for homework, computer work, games and reading.  It’s a wonderful and quiet place for youth to gather after school or on weekends in order to be productive and social in a safe and academic environment. To view, park up top on the ramp and enjoy the new space.
