Members of Palos Verdes Performing Arts’ Encore Circle celebrated the opening of the Norris Theatre 36th season at an elegant dinner on September 22 at the Harlyne J. Norris Pavilion. The event is an annual tradition for the support group, which is chaired by Abby Douglass. Following dinner, actor Zach Ford, who will be playing Emile DeBecque and Jody Kimura (Bloody Mary) in the October 5-7 concert presentation of “South Pacific,” sang several of Roger and Hammerstein’s most glorious songs from the musical. Members then headed over to the Norris Theatre for a performance by multi-platinum-selling singer Michael Feinstein. Encore Circle, which was formed two years after the Norris Theatre opened, is one of eight PVPA support groups.
