Peninsula Committee Children’s Hospital held its 61st Annual Portuguese Bend National Horse Show at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates on September 7, 8 and 9. The theme was “Giving Our Hearts and Hands for Children,” which emphasized the commitment to supporting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In addition to the Horse Show, there was a Children’s Circle, food booths, a Hay Bale boutique and a Saturday Night BBQ dinner. Special events included a flag ceremony presented by the Long Beach Mounted Police, a visit from the miniature therapy horses and a trophy presentation. Proceeds will benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
