Spotlight on the hill – St. John Fisher, Modern Jewelry Mart Mother’s Day Essay Contest

The grand prize winner was fifth grader Gabriella Nenadic. She plan to have her winning diamond set into a simple solitaire ring for her mother. St. John’s Fisher’s school secretary, Joanne Selvaggio said the students framed their essays and presented them to their mothers on Mother’s Day. Modern Jewelry Mart is at 2543 Pacific Coast Hwy #A, Torrance.

St. John Fisher School students competed in a Mother’s Day essay contest sponsored by Modern Jewelry Mart to win a one-half carat, round, brilliant cut diamond, valued at over $3,000. Runner up gemstones were presented to eight students in each of the first through eighth grade classes.
