Springfest 2025 looks to build on recent success

Springfest 2025 opens Thursday.

“It’s going down, baby!” said Tonya McKenzie, North Redondo Beach Business Association (NRBBA) boardmember and event co-chair.

A Teen Talent competition makes its debut, with audition tapes sorted from West L.A. to Orange County, whittled down to 25 performers Friday at 6:30 p.m., and 10 advancing to the finals on Sunday at 5:15 p.m.

The main music stage is sponsored by Beachlife Festival, featuring professional acts throughout the three days as well as the RUHS jazz band. Springfest opens Thursday with Teen Night, 5-9 p.m., and runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Admission is free, with access to rides sold separately.

“Springfest does better every year, over the last few years. It’s more profitable every year,” McKenzie said.

Proceeds go to the NRBBA, which funds student entrepreneurship programs and scholarships for RUHS graduates, and promotes and supports North Redondo Beach small businesses. ER
