The Spyder SkyOne Credit Union Surf Fest will be swag bag heaven for surfers. The combination music fest and surf vendor show begins at noon on Saturday, April 23, immediately following the Hermosa Beach Surfer Walk of Fame inductions.

Surf vendor booths, offering games and giveaways will fill Pier Plaza through the afternoon.

Vendors will include Hurley, Sanuk, Vans and Volcom

The live music will begin at 12:40 p.m. with local singer songwriter Jamisen Jarvis, who will also  be performing at BeachLife in May. The highly regarded Red Hot Tribute will perform at 2 p.m.

Among the more novel perks to be offered will be the Spyder/SkyOne Visa Rewards card. The black and gold card, emblazoned with the Spyder logo, is believed to be the first surf-shop branded credit card.

Spyder founder Dennis Jarvis said longtime friend Shannon Doiron, SkyOne’s chief digital officer, approached him with the idea.

Upon signing up for the card, users will receive a membership in Surfrider Foundation. SkyOne will pay the first year of the customer’s Surfrider membership, and also open a SkyOne account with a $5 deposit.

Additionally, if users enter the promo code SBBC, SkyOne will donate $25 to the South Bay Boardriders Club. The club is raising funds to produce a documentary on the South Bay’s surfing history.

Credit card sign-ups will be available at the fiesta at the SBBC and SkyOne booths. HBSWOF
