A bus that to passing traffic appeared to be a part of the Donald Trump for President campaign was parked at the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway last week. The bus was driven to California last month for the state’s primary campaign, following a tour through a dozen other primary states.
The bus was a part of the Trump campaign during the Iowa presidential primary, when it made an appearance at the Iowa State Fair. But that was before artists David Gleeson and Mary Mihelic, who work under the name t.Rutt, saw it listed for $14,000 on Craigslist last fall.
After painting a few alterations and a few additions to the campaign slogans already on the bus, the two artists began driving it to Trump rallies around the country.

#MakeAmericaGreatAgain, was modified to read #MakeFruitPunchGreatAgain. A “Manhood Measuring Station” with hands for rulers was painted near the front of the bus and a series of slogans titled “My Struggles” and promising “to not hate,” “to not cheat at golf” and “to love myself” were painted near the back of the bus.
The back of the bus has a sign that reads, “Save water, only waterboard Mon/Wed/Fri.” The front has a sign that reads “The Scrotal Majority.” The vanity Pennsylvania license plate on the front reads “Schlong.”

The bus was padlocked when an Easy Reader reporter knocked on the door in hopes interviewing the artists. But the London Guardian quotes Mihelic as saying, “People come over and they’re all excited and they don’t even read that it says ‘Make Fruit Punch Great Again.’ And they’re just totally taking pictures and then you’ll hear someone say, ‘Honey, it’s a gag! It’s a gag!’”

The artists’ web site truttartist.com asks for contributions to help them continue their T.RUMP campaign road tour. ER
