1- The Witcher

If you are looking for a new and fascinating experience from a season, then you cannot do better than The Witcher, the fantasy drama show that is based on the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski.

It follows the life of a professional monster hunter called Geralt of Rivia who is trying to find his place in a cruel world where poverty is rampant and people are more wicked than beasts. There is Yennefer of Vengerberg who is a powerful sorceress and one of Geralt’s lovers. While Princess Cirilla is the main heroine of the series who is on the run after the sacking of her city and who may have some great mysterious power. The destinies of these three main characters seem different but they slowly intertwine as the show proceeds.

Like the book series, the show also won over the hearts of fans who praised the powerful performances and the brilliant execution. The Witcher also went on to be nominated for several awards, including Best Cinematography at the British Society of Cinematographers and Best Science Fiction at the Dragon Awards.

Anya Taylor-Joy has been featured in the main role as Beth Harmon who is immensely gifted but is having to fight her own inner demons. Even for a genius, achieving sporting glory is no easy feat and Beth discovers that along the way. In her journey, she is helped by many interesting characters, including Mr. Shaibel (Bill Camp), Harry Beltik (Harry Melling), and Benny Watts (Thomas Brodie-Sangster).
