A family of three was found dead at a home along the Esplanade after Redondo Beach police responded to a gunshot call on Wednesday night. Police are investigating the deaths as a double-murder and suicide.

Around 10:15 p.m., dispatchers received a call warning of shots-fired near the 700 block of the Esplanade, by Topaz Street, according to a release written by RBPD Capt. Jon Naylor.

After arriving at the scene, officers found one person unresponsive, and continued into the home to find two more people dead. All appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds.

In an interview, Naylor said that police are not searching for additional subjects related to the call, and believe that all subjects related to the investigation are located on-scene.

On Thursday, the Los Angeles County Department of the Coroner identified the victims as Marc Waz, age 43, Ivana Waz, 43, and Makani Waz, 13.
