Election
This coming Tuesday is Election Day.
In addition to national, state and county primary races, registered Hermosa voters will be able to weigh in on school facilities bond Measure S. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Fit Fest comes to town
A fitness competition will wind its way through Hermosa Beach Saturday, June 4, testing contestants’ abilities and then rewarding them with food at city restaurants.
The event begins at 10 a.m., and will feature a variety of challenges at gyms and parks throughout Hermosa. Two competition levels are offered. Following the workouts, participants can walk to various restaurants throughout the city that will be offering healthy food. The event will close with an awards ceremony at American Junkie on Pier Plaza.

Application Deadline
Monday night marks the deadline to apply for positions on two city commissions.
Three vacancies on the Planning Commission and two on the Civil Service Commission are available. All terms would expire in 2020.
Applications are available at the City Clerk’s office, and must be submitted by 6 p.m. Monday June 6.
