Neptunians to fundraise for children’s causes
The Neptunian Woman’s Club will have a gala fundraiser next Saturday, Oct. 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the courtyard of the Tin Roof Bistro in the Manhattan Village Mall. All proceeds from the event will go to children’s causes, including scholarships.
This is the third annual food-wine-music fundraiser the group has arranged. There will be small plates created by Chef Anne of Tin Roof Bistro, SusieCakes at the mall, “wines of the world” poured by Vintage Shoppe and guest sommelier JP Molinari and live music by Aragon and Olivia. The event will also feature a raffle and silent auction.

Chamber announces holiday fundraiser
The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting this year’s Holiday Stocking Raffle, open until Dec. 7. The drawing takes place Dec. 8 at the city’s Holiday Fireworks Display. Raffle tickets, available at manhattanbeachchamber.com or in the office located at 425 15th St., is $20 each, or six for $100. The stocking will include various local restaurant gift cards, hotel accommodations, exercise classes and gifts from local shops.
A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the annual scholarship awards given to students attending Mira Costa High School.
