TRAVEL: San Francisco’s best views–Treasure Island
San Francisco has one of the most beautiful skylines in the world, but it’s one that’s hard to admire while you’re actually in the city. You need to leave and step away to capture her beauty.
There’s a little island right off the Bay Bridge with a tiny population of 2,000 people, one restaurant, a cafe, grocery store, YMCA, some housing and a lot of construction. This tiny place, Treasure Island, also happens to have hands down the best view of the San Francisco skyline.
You can visit by car, of course, by bus or take a short ferry ride from the city to check it out. I think you’ll be glad you did.
The construction I mentioned is because new residential buildings are being built that will transform this sleepy little island into a mini Honolulu of sorts. Some of the views are hidden behind fences, but the island is big enough to walk around them. Have fun exploring!
