
The vehicle identified in Friday night’s bar fight death was located in Redondo Beach and and taken into police custody on Saturday, Redondo Beach police said.
The incident, which took place at Pats II Cocktails at 1312 S. Pacific Coast Highway, ended in the death of the bar’s bouncer after the suspects allegedly beat him after he denied them entrance to the bar shortly before 2 a.m Saturday. According to police the fight was possibly regarding the bar’s closing time.
When officials responded the employee was lying on the sidewalk near the establishment unconscious but breathing. He was taken to a local hospital where he died shortly thereafter from blunt force trauma.
Police have identified the suspects but they have still not been located. They are described a two Hispanic males, 30-35 years of age, 5’8″, around 180 lbs. Both have back hair and one had his hair in a ponytail. Police do not believe they knew the victim and police do not believe the incident was gang related.
