Police have arrested a man in the shooting of a woman following a short standoff in North Redondo Beach.
RBPD responded to a call reporting shots fired around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the 2500 block of Graham Avenue, immediately setting up containment.
“One of our officers was able to make contact with the suspect, convincing him to surrender to police without incident,” Lt. Joe Hoffman said.
Inside, paramedics found a woman who was alive with a gunshot wound to the head, and began providing immediate medical treatment. Several other people in the house were removed from the residence as well, Hoffman said.
Police had no further information at this time as to either the extent of the victim’s injuries, nor the identities of the victim or suspect. RBPD is treating the incident as a domestic dispute.
