National Prescription Drug Take-Back

The Manhattan Beach Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the National Association of School Resource Officers are partnering to get rid of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Medications will be accepted for disposal at the Manhattan Beach Police Department, South Lobby, 13th Street, on Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Manhattan Beach Police Department also offers 24/7 medication drop-off in a secure collection bin located in the front lobby of the police department. The service is free, anonymous and no questions will be asked.

STEM Saturdays Tide Pools: Life on the Rocks
Experience marine life up-close and personal with the Blue Submarine’s TIde Pools: Life on the Rocks with live tidepool animals and specimens on Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to noon. This workshop is the first in the Manhattan Beach library’s monthly programs designed to develop STEM skills (Science Technology, Engineering and Math) and is generously supported by the Friends of the Manhattan Beach Library. For grades 2 through 8. Registration is required, please register at the children’s information desk.  ER
