Mira Costa sophomore Jenna Tong is presented a trophy from KCAL 9’s Sylvia Lopez after winning the women’s 5K division at the 14th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure held recently at Dodger Stadium. The Manhattan Beach resident, a distance runner on the Mustang track team, finished the race in 21 minutes, 11 seconds. She dedicated the victory to her aunt, a breast cancer survivor. Photo courtesy of Jeff Tong Running The Redondo Union High School Athletic Association and the Redondo Union High School Alumni Association will be holding the “Striff/Seifert Memorial Track Meet” on Saturday, June 5 at 12 p.m. Admission is free. Participation fee is $25 per person. A pancake breakfast will be served the morning of the event in the RUHS cafeteria at 9 a.m. ($10 per person).
