Fundraisers: On Tuesday, Sept. 13 Mama D’s, 1031 Hermosa Ave. in Hermosa Beach, will donate 20% of all money spent to the Mira Costa girls volleyball program. The Redondo Union High School Alumni Association will hold its 2nd annual Homecoming Celebration Friday, Oct. 14 beginning at 5 p.m. prior to the Redondo-Peninsula football game. Tickets are $25 ($15 for children/students 18 and under) and include admission to the game, El Gringo Buffet pre-game dinner, a collector Alumni drink holder and Alumni Association window decal. Proceeds benefit the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund and Athletic Hall of Fame. For more information visit www.RUHSAlumni.org. In conjunction with a car wash, the Mira Costa Football and Cheer programs will be partnering with All Green Electronics Recycling to a host an E-waste collection from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at the MBUSD District Offices, 325 S.
