“We like to call it, ‘Giving the Floyd’s experience,’” said manager Alex Morales.
Morales, who has worked at Floyd’s Hermosa Beach location for five years, said he’s seen a shift in requests from straight cuts to more trendy, “fluffy hair” styles and coastal-friendly do’s.
But it offers everything from fades and old school shaves to beach waves and subtle balayage shades.
Its motto, “Floyd’s is for everyone,” reflects its services for men, women and children.
Everyone is welcome, even players from professional sports. The L.A. Kings and the L.A. Galaxy teams are frequent clientele at the store with a high-energy feel and upbeat sound.
Floyd’s plays its own ad-free, all-day radio mix of classic rock, indie and new alternative hits, which can be heard in-store or streamed at home through its website.
