Best of the BeachMediterraneo – Tapas started in the easygoing café society of Madrid as a complement to glasses of wine, and they have thrived after being transplanted to the South Bay. Exhibit A is Mediterraneo, which has the largest variety of authentic Spanish tapas as well as some that exhibit a Californian flourish. The traditional plates of cheeses, olives, grilled sausage with grapes, and white anchovy filets are here, along with grilled shrimp, roasted dates, and sautéed scallops and shrimp in cream sauce. There are over twenty delightful selections to tease your palate and remind you of the joys of Mediterranean living just steps from the Pacific.
