Give Back to the Children Project (GBCP), a nonprofit organization raising funds to provide technology-based education to the children of Sierra Leone, is holding its first annual donor gala this Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Abigaile Restaurant in Hermosa Beach.
GBCP was founded by Abdul Sesay, a refugee-turned-soccer player who now coaches youth in the Manhattan Beach Surf & Sand soccer team.
The charity dinner requires a $50 minimum pledge from individuals and $100 from businesses.
