Oil information

To ensure the public can easily access information about the proposed oil production project, the city posted the Project Application filed by E&B Natural Resources Management Corporation on its website. The application offers a detailed description of the plans, lists the entitlements that are being requested, and provides other information. Young professionals

Join your neighbors and friendly professionals to meet and mingle for the first Hermosa Beach Young Professionals event of 2013 at Saint Rocke on Feb. 21. The event is $5 for non-chamber members and free to chamber members. There will be $5 drinks and appetizer specials.

Parking permits

Over the counter sales for residential parking permit began on Feb. 4. The cost of a residential permit is $40 and the cost of employee parking is $143. They may be purchased at City Hall at 1315 Valley Dr. Room 101 Mon. through Thursday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a grace period in effect until March 19, and enforcement begins at 8 a.m. on March 20. Clarification

To correctly curb your tires State law requires the back of the front tires to be facing towards the curb when parked going uphill and the front of the tires facing the curb when parking downhill. Even if there is no curb, the practice should always be followed.

The Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club will be hosting their Seventh Annual Blood Drive on Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kiwanis Hall. The Drive is sponsored by the American Red Cross. Additionally, this year the Drive will be co-hosted by the Hermosa Beach Police Dept.
