Elmer Marquez of the Rotary Club Freeport Zone (pictured) has signs a formal Sister Club agreement with the Hermosa Beach Rotary Club in the presence of Hermosa Rotary Treasurer and International Chair, Travers Devine.
The agreement was signed by Hermosa Rotary President Regina Sweeney and then hand-carried to the Philippines by Devine. It clears the way for development of a major international matching grant within Rotary International for self-sustaining agricultural in the village of Timoc Bataan, reachable only on horseback, with no running water, electricity or farming implements.
