Police Beat in Manhattan Beach

Grand theft auto

According to police reports, between 3 and 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 2, a pizza delivery man parked his 1999 Toyota Corolla on the 3300 block of Highland Avenue. He left the car unlocked with the keys in the ignition and the windows rolled down. Upon returning, he found his car had been stolen.

Fumigation burglary

Unknown suspect(s) entered a house on the 1400 block of 21st Street that was tented for fumigation between Oct. 5 and 7. The suspect(s) entered through an open rear window and stole coins and collectables, MBPD said.

Identity theft

A credit card delivered by FedEx was stolen from the front porch of a house on the 1200 block of Oak Avenue between Sept. 29 and Oct. 1, police said. The credit card was then used at a number of locations within the city.

MBB bike theft

A bike locked to the porch railing of a residence on the 1200 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard was stolen between 10 p.m. on Sept. 29 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 30.

Robbed while asleep

Unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on the 1700 block of The Strand through an open first floor window while the resident was asleep between 1 and 9 a.m. on Oct. 3. Travel items and passports are believed to have been stolen, according to police. ER
