Sandpipers, a volunteer organization based in the South Bay, is hosting its 20th Annual Holiday Homes Tour from Friday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Four distinctive homes—three in Manhattan Beach and one in Hermosa Beach—will be decked out in exquisite decorations for the holiday season by local designers and retailers.
As a bonus on Saturday and Sunday only, this year’s tour will feature the “Green Idea House,” a Hermosa Beach home that has won numerous awards for its eco-friendly design.
Presale tickets, available at various retail vendors and at sandpipers.org, are $25. Tickets are $30 at the door.
In conjunction with the tour, the Neptunian Woman’s Club is hosting a holiday boutique with unique items from local artisans. Throughout the weekend, a free shuttle service will stop at the boutique and each of the homes.
There will also be a wine tasting party at the Bank of Manhattan Rooftop on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Tastings are $5 for Holiday Homes Tour ticket holders and $10 without.
Proceeds from the tour will benefit more than 60 local charities in the South Bay as well as individuals and families in need of financial assistance.
