Top four runners finish 10 seconds apart in 45th Annual Manhattan Beach 10K

Scottish native Andrew Barrington, 32, who competes in hill races with the Lochaber Athletic Club in Fort Williams Scotland, drew on his altitude training to win a sea level sprint to the finish at Manhattan Beach pier. Barrington’s time of 33:37 was just two seconds ahead of Lance Capel, 28, of Torrance; seven seconds ahead of Jaden Milbrodt, of La Canada; and 10 seconds ahead of Ian Rusk, of La Habra. Kelli Cabel, 28, of Torrance, was all alone as she approached the finish line at the Manhattan Beach pier. She placed first in the women’s division and 20th overall, in a time of 36:14.
