SEAsonal volunteers
The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is seeking volunteer tour guides to teach school children about the wonders of Southern California’s marine life. The only prerequisites are a desire to learn about the ocean, and an interest in sharing that information with children. Applications for the Fall 2016 Tour Guide Training Class are due Tuesday September 3. Class begins Monday, September 19. Training takes place every Monday morning for 12 weeks, ending December 12. Fleet Week
LA Fleet Week is a free, public event at America’s #1 Port, featuring guided ship tours, military demonstrations and an air show. Ongoing until September 5. Labor day concert
The Palos Verdes Symphonic Band’s annual Labor Day concert is titled “Mariachi on the Meadow.” 5 p.m.  at the South Coast Botanic Garden, 26300 Crenshaw Blvd, Palos Verdes Peninsula.
