The Palos Verdes Conservancy 2016 White Point Home Tour on Sunday, September 11 presents the first ever opportunity for the public to visit the mid-century, oceanfront estate designed by Aaron Green, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The home is a popular location for video and photo shoots. The five-home tour begins at 12:30 and will be followed by a reception at the Brouwerij West tasting room in San Pedro at 4:30 p.m. $65. Thursday, September 1 SEAsonal volunteers The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is seeking volunteer tour guides to teach school children about the wonders of Southern California’s marine life. The only prerequisites are a desire to learn about the ocean, and an interest in sharing that information with children. Applications for the Fall 2016 Tour Guide Training Class are due Tuesday September 3. Class begins Monday, September 19. Training takes place every Monday morning for 12 weeks, ending December 12.
