Spectrum launches gift drives for seniors, disadvantaged youth

Photo provided Spectrum Athletic Clubs is running two gift drives this year, to raise money for seniors and disadvantaged youth during the festive season. The first will benefit Home Instead Senior Care in Torrance. Members and non-members may visit the South Bay, Rolling Hills or Redondo Beach Spectrum locations to pick an ornament from a Giving Tree that will contain the name and holiday wish of a senior. Sponsors can purchase those gifts and drop them off at the club until Sunday, Dec. 15. Volunteers will be enlisted to help wrap and deliver the gifts and non-members who donate will receive a three-day guest pass to Spectrum valued at $75. “We look forward to helping brighten the lives of local seniors, some of whom are forgotten about during the holidays,” said Spectrum Athletic Clubs President and CEO Bud Rockhill.
