Redondo Beach used to be home to the world’s largest indoor saltwater pool, with room for 1,000 swimmers. In 1908, the legendary George Freeth gave surf lessons in front of the plunge. Housed at the Queen Anne House built in 1904, the Historical Museum is home to an extensive collection of Redondo Beach artifacts, memorabilia, photographs, school annuals and historic documents and receives thousands of annual visitors and school groups.
