Sun & Moon liquor license revoked

The Sushi Sun & Moon Café in Manhattan Beach had its liquor license revoked last month for serving alcohol to a minor during sting operations conducted by the local police departments, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

The restaurant had three violations of alcohol sales to a minor within the last three years, police said, all of which occurred during minor decoy stings conducted by the Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and El Segundo police departments. The last violation occurred on Sept. 2, said Manhattan Beach Sergeant Chris Vargas.

The revocation decision occurred on Dec. 9, but was stayed for a period of 180 days to allow the transfer of the license, Vargas said.

The restaurant is owned by Café Bakery Com Inc., according to the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control. The liquor license is being purchased by another company, Pier View Properties, which will do business as Hamptons Bar and Grill, according to an ABC report.
