There’s no place like a polling place for some Beach City voters
Redondo Beach resident Ken Elliott bucked the trend of voting by mail by voting at the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club on Monday afternoon. Eliott said he prefers the neighborly feel of a polling place like the Kiwanis Club to the sterility of a mail box. He said he voted in Hermosa because its polling place was closer to his home on Prospect Avenue than the Redondo polling places, at the Beach Cities Health District, Alta Vista Park and the South Bay Galleria. Handing Elliott his ballot was veteran Hermosa Beach poll worker Kandy White. The Kiwanis Club and polling places in neighboring cities are open to voters until 7 p.m. today, Monday, November 2. On Tuesday, November 3, the final day to vote, the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
