Hermosa Cyclery has been an institution in Hermosa Beach since 1974 and remains where it began in the same tan, two-story structure fronting 13th Street near The Strand. Is is known as the place with the “free air.” The air stations were designed by its owners and allow bicyclists to dial their air pressure.
They specialize in one-, three- and seven-speed Strand cruisers and serve as authorized dealers of Electra, Sun Bicycles and KHS. Open seven days a week, they also do repair work, tune-ups and carry a wide array of parts and accessories, from baby seats to locks to unicycle parts.
“What sets us apart from other shops is our phenomenal customer service,” said co-owner Larry Burke. “We have great employees and we strive to get better and better. The popularity of cycling continues to increase with more bike lanes being opened in the South Bay.”
