Home in Hermosa exhibit at HB Museum

In 1977, former Hermosa Beach Mayor and founding member of the Hermosa Beach Museum Pat Gazin became critically aware of the disappearing historic homes in Hermosa, and set out to record their existence for her first book. In 2023 after the designation of the first historic residential home in Hermosa Beach, the Hermosa Beach Museum staff and volunteers took a look at this book to see how many houses remained in existence to share a new and updated edition of the remaining Castles on the Sand, and those which are now ghosts. 710 Pier Ave. Museum hours: Wed-Sun 12 – 4 p.m. Information: Hermosabeachhistoricalsociety.org

California End-of-Life Options– In Person and via Zoom

Cancer Support Community South Bay (CSC South Bay) free workshop led by Karen Morin, RN. Participants will learn recent updates to the Medical Aid-in-Dying law and what it means for patients in California.  Morin will present ways for attendees to advocate for themselves and others to get the care and treatment that is wanted at end-of-life.
