Off-duty sheriff arrested in pier shooting
An off-duty Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff was arrested last Monday for assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly fired a handgun while engaged in a dispute with his girlfriend on the Redondo Beach pier. A crowd of fishermen helped subdue the man.
