After winning the men’s and women’s divisions at the Santa Anita Derby Day 5K in April, Jacques Sallberg and Daniela Alonso duplicated the feat at the Village Runner 4th of July 5K held in Redondo Beach. The 17th annual event drew more than 2,000 participants and hundreds of spectators.
