Paul Matthies, a pioneer Los Angeles County Lifeguard, champion ironman and doryman and Easy Reader Surfing Santa for over two decades will be rememberd with a paddleout out Thursday, July 17 at 9:30 a.m. at the Hermosa Beach pier.
