Paddleout honors former Weber manager Chris Hill

A paddleout in memory of Chris Hill was held Saturday at noon at 10th Street in Hermosa Beach, where Hill learned to surf. Hill died of prostate cancer on Tuesday, November 18, at age 55.

The annual Hermosa Beach Holiday Sandman contests attracted over two dozen families, whose entries ranged from “Headless Mickey” to “Harry Potter.” Parks and Recreation commissioners Jani Lange, Bob Rosanthal and Laura Raymond judged the entries based on execution and creativity.
